その場所との出会いは大袈裟かもしれませんが運命だったのかもしれません。
2021年の春の少し暖かくなりはじめた頃、僕と奈菜子は長野県は北信州信濃町、黒姫の地に立っていました。
これから ふたり で生きていく、暮らしていく場所を求めて。そして珈琲 占野として珈琲 ﾉ席の場を探すため。
はじめは都内を中心に探しておりました。ただ自然に囲まれて育ってきた二人にとって、また僕らの暮らしを何よりも中心にという、はじめに誓った想いをここでは守っていけないかもしれない、そう思いました。
そのあと何故、長野だったのか、これは二人の直感としか言いようが無いかもしれません。ただ何かに惹かれてあの日に黒姫に向かったことは間違いではありませんでした。
その土地に立った瞬間の身体を心を通り抜けていった風の気持ち良さは格別なものでした。
雨上がりの夕暮れ黒姫山から差し込む光、夜空一面に広がる輝く星たちに奈菜子は泣いていました。
訪れたその日に「求めていた場所はここだったんだな」とふたり確信しました。一週間と少し滞在する中で友人夫婦にその土地の素晴らしい景色にたくさん出逢わせて頂き気持ちはより強くなりました。
その滞在期間中に黒姫唯一の不動産屋さんに1日をかけて様々な物件を案内して頂きました。ただ僕らが心動かされる物件、土地、場所との出会いはなく、それならば自分たちで探そうと車で黒姫中の空き家と思しき物件を訪ねて周りました。
少し諦めかけていたそんな日の翌日、朝の六時頃にランニングしていた時、車ではあまり通らないような道へ何かに引かれるように走っていました。
そしてついに出会ってしまったのです。
「ここだと」
木々のトンネルを抜け森に囲まれた平家、広い敷地に紅葉や栗の木があり、物件を越える大きさの池には様々な水草が、隣家とも良い距離感の場所。そして何より通り抜けていく風の気持ちよさ。
一瞬にしてその場所の虜になるとともに ふたり のこれからの暮らし、珈琲屋、珈琲 ﾉ 席としてのイメージが天から降ってくるように溢れ出しました。
高揚した思いのまま失礼とは思いつつも気がつくとその物件の少し離れた隣の民家のインターフォンを鳴らしていました。朝早くにもかかわらず親切におばあちゃんが「長野市に住んでる人のまだ時々利用している別荘だよ」と教えてくれました。
ただその場所で二人で暮らしていきたい珈琲屋として生きていきたいという思いは溢れるばかり。その日のうちに不動産屋さんに現地に来てもらいその後、何とかして家主さんの御連絡先を教えて頂きました。
その場所の持ち主のお名前はUさんというご夫婦でした。
移住体験施設の利用期間を終えて神奈川に戻りすぐに家主さんへ僕らの想いをこめた手紙（10数枚は書いたでしょうか）を焙煎した珈琲豆とともに送らせて頂きました。
手紙を出して数日たった朝のランニング中に家主さんご夫婦からお電話でご連絡を頂き会っていただけることとなりました。
初めて黒姫を訪れて1ヶ月後に再びその場所に戻ってきました。家主さんと直接初めて会ってお話しする中で僕らの想いをたくさん伝えさせて頂きました。
ただ家主さんはまだその土地を手放すことは考えていなかったこと、僕らがここで珈琲屋としてやっていけるかを心配して今一度考え直して欲しいとのことでした。
再び神奈川に戻り奈菜子と何度も何度も話し合いました。僕らの答えはやはり「この場所以外考えられない」でした。再びお手紙を出させて頂き会う約束をしました。
そしてお会いした際に珈琲屋の扉をこの場所で開きたいことは勿論のこと何よりこの場所、黒姫の地で人生を送っていきたい気持ちが何より強いこと。仰って頂いた心配の種は奈菜子と ふたり であれば乗り越えられるそう確信していること、きっと想像もできない困難も待っている、コロナ禍然りどんな未来になるか分からないこれからの世界、ただ自分たちの理想とする「暮らしの未来」がここにはある。その想いを伝えさせて頂きました。
そして、「そういった想いのある君たちなら」とお話を承諾してくださいました。
家主さんご夫婦がこの場所で築きあげてきたその想いを大切に引き継ぎ、僕らのこれからの想いも乗せてこの地で僕らの「暮らし」を一番大切に真ん中に沿えて生きていきたいと思います。
もちろん最初の珈琲 ﾉ 席お客様は家主さんご夫妻です。
長くなりましたが僕らの今の「想い」です。
2022年の夏頃に扉を開けられる様に準備をしていきます。
多くのご縁が繋がって、助けてもらって僕らの今があります。これからは少しづつ ふたりで多くの感謝を伝えていける様にそんな場所にしたいです。
来年からたくさんの方とまた新たに出会えることを楽しみに、これからも珈琲 占野をどうぞよろしくお願い致します。

Future…
I may be exaggerating, but I think it was fate that brought us to this place.
In the spring of 2021, when the weather was starting to warm up a bit, Nanako and I were standing in Kurohime, Shinano-machi, Kita Shinshu in Nagano Prefecture.
We were looking for a place where we could live and work together. We also wanted to find a place to sit and enjoy coffee as Coffee Shimeno.
At first, we were looking for a place mainly in Tokyo. However, for the two of us who have grown up surrounded by nature, we felt that we might not be able to keep our original vow to focus on our lives.
After that, why did we choose Nagano? But it was no mistake that we were drawn to Kurohime by something that day.
The moment we stood there, the breeze that blew through our bodies and hearts was exceptional.
Nanako cried when she saw the light coming from Mount Kurohime at dusk after the rain, and the stars shining brightly across the night sky.
The day we arrived, we both knew that this was the place we had been looking for. We stayed there for a little over a week, and my friend and her husband introduced me to many wonderful views of the area, which made my feelings even stronger.
During our stay, we spent a day with the only real estate agent in Kurohime and he showed us various properties. However, we didn’t find any properties, land or places that moved us, so we decided to look for them ourselves and drove around the city looking for houses that seemed to be vacant.
The next day, when we were about to give up, we were running at around six o’clock in the morning, and something pulled us to a road that few cars take.
Finally, I came across it.
“This is it.”
Through a tunnel of trees, we came to a flat house surrounded by a forest, a large lot with autumn leaves and chestnut trees, a pond larger than the property with a variety of water plants, and a good distance from the neighboring house. The pond, which is larger than the property, has a variety of water plants.
We were instantly captivated by the place, and the images of our future life together, the coffee shop, and the coffee selemony began to overflow as if they were falling from the sky.
I was so excited that I rang the intercom of a private house next door, a short distance away. Even though it was early in the morning, my grandmother kindly told me that it was a vacation home for people living in Nagano City who still used it from time to time.
I was overwhelmed with the desire to live in this place together, and to make a living as a coffee shop owner. I asked the real estate agent to come to the place that day, and after that, I managed to get the contact information of the owner.
The owner of the place was a couple named Mr. and Mrs. U.
As soon as we returned to Kanagawa after finishing our stay at the facility, we sent a letter to the landlord with our thoughts and feelings (we must have written more than a dozen of them), along with the coffee beans we had roasted.
A few days after we sent the letter, the owner and his wife called us on the phone while we were running in the morning and agreed to meet us.
One month after my first visit to Kurohime, I came back to the place again. We met the landlord for the first time and expressed our thoughts and feelings to him.
However, the landlord was not thinking of letting go of the land yet, and was worried about whether we would be able to make a living as a coffee shop here, so he asked us to reconsider.
We went back to Kanagawa and talked with Nanako again and again. Our answer was still “I can’t think of anything else but this place. We wrote to her again and made an appointment to meet.
When we met, he told us that not only did he want to open the doors of his coffee shop in this place, but more than anything, he wanted to live his life in this place, Kurohime. I’m sure there will be unimaginable hardships waiting for us, like the Corona disaster, and I don’t know what the future will bring, but we have our ideal “future of living” here. This is the future of our ideal lifestyle.
The owner and his wife agreed to work with us.
I would like to carefully take over the idea that the owner and his wife have built up in this place, and with our future ideas on board, I would like to live in this place with our “life” as the most precious thing in the center.
Of course, the first customers of Coffee selemony.
It’s been a long time coming, but these are our current “thoughts”.
We are preparing to open the door in the summer of 2022.
We are here today because of the many connections we have made and the help we have received. From now on, we want to make this place a place where we can express our gratitude little by little.
